Genuine Happy Moment

On Monday, Sept. 21st, this little guy J. Von will be going to the children's hospital in Minneapolis to get a dose of on going chemo therapy to keep cancer in check. It was a great desire I had when he left the 'other' time to sit down on the river bank that runs beside our house and fish. There were a lot of limbs, which hampered any kind of fly fishing, and with bamboo poles, it was really a joke. But little rainbow trout didn't know the difference, and we did catch, okay, so they weren't that big.

He and his mom Lisa brightened our days here in Mexico and we already miss him. I'm going to leave those 'little shoes' he left behind...it is my reminder that he was here. We laughed, and sometimes we had fun 'remembering'. He does this game well. I'm looking forward to having some MORE memories with other grandkids in October when we visit the USA.

Enjoying the Journey

Not far from St. Louis, is the Mermac Caverns, famous for being the hideout of the Jesse James gang. Evianna and Sebastian had misgivings about going into a hole in the Earth, but saw many other people, in fact from many nations look at the awe and spendor of God's Creative Imaginative Genius under the earths soil. We created some good memories.

Kampgrounds of America turned us down in two cabins, as we erroneously had an idea that their Kabins would have sheets...they didn't rent us a dso Roberta is in the pool, I enjoyed the Memorial Day dip,....Momma Marlita and Papa Juan Camacho have called twice from Rome, they are missing their kids. We want to be friends and enjoy THIS moment...

With Jude and Evianna, we visited the gravesite of John M, Rovenstine my father, my mother accompanied us, we placed 3 red roses in a vase on his grave, we prayed, I wept in gratitude for God's gift in giving me John M, to raise me, and show me the way. My mother declared to her great grandchildren, that soon she too would join John M, and be buried there beside him...This too was a good day.

Tomorrow will be a good day, we hope to see the Boyhood Home of Abraham Lincoln, in Lincoln City, Indiana...Come along

Aleda´s Dutch Heritage

Pan Cratius, naturalized US Citizen in 1944 became John Warmerdam.
In many ways he was more like a father, my older brother Wendell used to call him ¨Daddy¨. Our dad in the US Army, serving in Dexter New Mexico at a POW camp for German aviators. He had the time to tell us sailor stories, and his life was colorful, and his memory was about as keen as my mother.
In this photo I am at the birth site of the mother of Pan Cratius, eating a raw red herring, as the people of her village did to survive.
Going to the museum to see the unusual habits and customs of the people on the North Sea was very enlightening. My 2nd cousin gave me the official tour, and she explained where the families lived, their grand parents. Most likely my grandfather Pan Cratius walked these same shores, and came here in the summer to swim.
